COVID isn’t getting milder. people are just getting less and less able to mount an appropriate immune response after each infection, which decimates your immune system. many COVID symptoms are actually your immune response. even if you don’t get those symptoms, COVID will still cause multi system organ damage.
basically, the fire alarm doesn’t go off any more because it burnt up in the first fire. every fire after that still causes damage, you just don’t have an alarm any more.
